I hope you are well and for any parents, recovering from the Easter holidays with fortitude and fine wine (ok, any wine).
This Sunday, I will be hosting my first ever Paid Subscribers’ Sunday Session, a live online meet up to discuss all things HOME RELATED. Details to join the conversation will be in paid subscribers’ inboxes tomorrow. Prior to the session I’d love for you to send in any burning questions (either via Substack or IG if you prefer) and I’ll do my best to prepare considered responses. I also really hope these sessions provide an opportunity to chat, for some of you to meet each other and to start to build this community beyond just you and me.
I’ve just hit the 9,000 readers mark which is so incredibly heartening. Writing these weekly essays for the past five months has been an incredible joy when they have connected. I do fret over them, and they do take me a lot of time, so obviously I also have to be mindful of how that balance impacts my professional and family life holistically, as it’s become such a big part of my working week. I always want there to be a free option for those who simply can’t afford to pay to read my words. If I do eventually decide to reserve some of the content for paid subscribers, please do know that you can always email me directly to ask for a gifted subscription. Until then, I wanted to ask anyone who can afford to support my Substack and to whom my pieces have meant something, to consider upgrading to a paid subscription. As part of that offer, I will be putting together a schedule of Sunday Sessions and sharing information about an IRL version of a meet-up (I’m planning a mini festival to cover everything from style to writing with a few of my friends as speakers, plus rosé, special gifts and prizes and plenty of lols).
The price will also go up a little to reflect this, BUT if you become a paid subscriber in the next 48 hours you will be able to stay on the introductory price of £5 for as long as you stay subscribed to this Substack. (NOTE- People stay at the price they came in at forever unless they unsubscribe)
I don’t have all the answers to everything, but I reckon as a community, between us we probably do. For the rest of the year, it’s my ambition to connect as many of you together as possible, while making the writing side of this newsletter financially sustainable. The price for the next 48 hours is £5 a month, just £1.25 a week with access to the monthly Sunday Sessions, the upcoming summer festival and a host of new access and community features which will be dropping thorough the year.
As always, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me to make this space so special – without you all, it’s literally just me wittering on about taps in my head (in-joke).
All love, Kx
This is the reminder I needed to subscribe. Your last newsletter about not wanting to move out of the city to be able to afford somewhere is very much my situation (Edinburgh instead of London and am originally from Outer Hebrides so always appreciate a mention 😆!) Xx
This is the gift to self that just keeps on giving ❤️
